What your practice gets
One consistent baseline
Select a shared foundation for new reception staff and focused learning for nursing, coordination and management responsibilities.
Use supervision time well
Let staff practise the course decisions before a short local check with their supervisor. Keep workplace observation and authorisation separate from course completion.
Training records you can keep
Use individual progress and completion records in your training plan. Check each course for its assessment and certificate arrangements. Training does not certify clinical competence, accreditation or local-policy compliance.
Team progress visibility
Individual progress and completion records support regular check-ins. We’ll confirm reporting and access arrangements during team setup.
Choose a package or a course
Choose library access for ongoing learning or individual courses for a specific need. Prices include GST. Compare the courses, then contact us to arrange learner access and invoicing.
More structured onboarding
Combine relevant course learning with local procedures, supported practice and an observed task. Experienced staff can focus on the gaps identified with their manager.
Group enrolment in four steps
Tell us your numbers
Tell us your learner numbers, roles and training priorities. We confirm the package, reporting arrangements and invoice.
We set up your team
We arrange individual learner access and explain how staff sign in. Your practice chooses the relevant courses and study time.
Staff complete it
Each person works through their selected course at their own pace, completes the required learning and passes its final assessment.
Review & keep records
Request the agreed completion report, discuss the learning and retain available certificates alongside your local training records.
A clear team completion report
For arranged practice groups, we can provide the agreed completion report to your authorised practice contact. Confirm the reporting arrangements with us when setting up your team.
| Learner | Assigned course | Status | Completed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Learner A | Comprehensive GP Receptionist Certificate | Completed | 1 October 2026 |
| Learner B | Complaints, Aggression and Difficult Conversations | Not completed | — |
The report shows learner name, assigned course, completion status and completion date. It excludes quiz answers, grades and payment details. Course completion supports your training records; workplace competency and local authorisation still need your practice’s own checks.
Choose a learning pathway
Start with the task and the person’s experience. These are suggested choices, not compulsory bundles or prerequisites; assign only the courses that address a relevant learning need.

Plan the paid training time
- Agree the task the staff member needs to perform and check what they already know.
- Choose the relevant course and reserve its advertised study time. Avoid assigning overlapping courses automatically.
- Use the practice activities during study; keep optional workbooks and workplace projects separate.
- Afterwards, ask for one changed-case explanation or a short supervised task. Record actual learning time, useful feedback and any further support needed.
A completion certificate records the course outcome. It does not replace local observation, clinical competency assessment or authorisation.
Useful for every role: Complaints & difficult conversations — free. Finish with a team discussion: “What will we do differently in our practice?”

Make essential knowledge easier to share.
A useful training plan makes the next action clear, gives staff a chance to practise and leaves a reference they can find when they need it.
- New starters learn different things from whoever happens to be training that week.
- Experienced staff need time for local supervision, coaching and the tasks only they can authorise.
- Knowledge about privacy, escalation, follow-up and billing needs clear procedures, named cover and practical checks.
Built by a practice manager who’s done your job.
GP Staff Academy was written by Katherine, an active regional Queensland practice manager with extensive general-practice and front-desk experience — so the examples connect reception, nursing coordination and management decisions with the systems and role boundaries a practice relies on.
